The Goods

I’m surrounded by a lot of like minded people in real life and on social media, and it’s pretty simple to see the commonality between all of us.  Yeah, we all have our individualities…..but there are some common bonds that always come to the surface.

I call them “The Goods”.  Those happy things in life that put a smile on your face just by saying their name…..and it’s The Goods that help you make it through each day.

I strongly believe that by knowing your personal core values and living your life accordingly, you will create more happiness in your life.  But along with that, you need to tie the days together with The Goods.

It’s the cup of coffee, that beer at the end of the day….that ride.  The list is likely quite long for each of you, but I wanted to touch on the three things I see most often within my circle of friends.

When I look at the tweets and hear the conversations, I can honestly see connections in my mind in that The Goods are piecing together that person’s day.  The same thing happens with core values, and they piece together weeks and months.

We’re all connected…..but what lies within each one of us is a connection of The Goods and Core Values.  Please make sure you know what yours are, and then let life smoothly flow through each of them.

Enjoy Your Ride

Coffee. Cycling. Beer. Is there anything else? Oh, music. Gotta have music both to listen to and to play – currently learning to play the banjo. The Goods indeed.

Hey Paul, that is so awesome. My Son wants to learn to play the banjo. Keep on living each day with The Goods.

Right on! Get him started on the banjo as soon as you can – it’s tough. There are some decent free lessons on YouTube. I follow a guy here in ATX that goes by @happybanjodude. He’s really good, lots of free stuff, but I bought his beginner ebook which comes with video lessons on his website. So far, so good. #LovingtheBike and #LovingtheBanjo

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
