I’m letting Jason Mraz sit in today

I’ve always been a lover of music and totally enjoy being able to get some wisdom out of what I’m listening to.  The new CD by Jason Mraz has a bunch of positive music on it, but one song in particular always seems to ground me and re-remind me of what I should be focusing on.  It’s called, “Living in the Moment” and is full of a bunch of great lyrics….but it’s also a very catch song.

I’m letting Jason provide the Make it Happen inspiration today and have included some of my favorite lines from this song.  It hasn’t been released as a single or video yet, but I have included a youtube video at the bottom of this post that plays the song and lays down all the lyrics….so be sure to click play and use it as the soundtrack for your week.

I know not all of you agree with me on the riding with music idea, but if you do ride with your iPod be sure to add this one to your playlist.

    Good music. I’ve never heard him before. I’ll have to add this song to my workout playlist.

    Oh, and I used my earbuds this morning, and I got my fastest mile in a month by listening to “Eye of the Tiger.” It was fantastic. :D

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean ”lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
