Life's Little Instructions

When I was younger, my Mom bought me a couple wall hangings called “Life’s Little Instructions”.  They were full of great little sayings and were created by a Dad who wanted to pass on life lessons to his kids.

I loved looking at them, and would often get reminded of the right lesson at the right time.  Those posters helped mold my life….for the better.

Well, I wanted to come up with my own little set of instructions.  Lessons that I would like to pass onto my kids, and maybe you might just dig them as well.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
