bought an extra chai latte at my favourite coffee shop and left the voucher on their “pay it forward” board… 🙂

I’m not sure if it entirely counts if you do random acts for friends, but I didn’t get out much due to weather. I did make a special meal for my boyfriend since he got an extra day home and I just bought 3 ebooks anonymously for a friend who’s been having a difficult time lately. I bought the ebooks as part of a way to do the act of kindness and the meal happened before I knew what today was. I am going to look for more ways to help others this month.

I think those are great acts of kindness. The task didn’t say anything about doing it for a stranger….well done. Love to hear it….thanks for commenting.

I just completed the day 2 challenge. I had been searching for something I could do as my random act of kindness all morning. Then when I stopped at the post office on my bike, I had a thought. There is a small vegetable stand beside the post office so I gave the guy some money and told him to give the next person who comes to him some fruits and vegetables on me. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone a little and now some random stranger gets a nice little gesture. Very cool

I bet that was a great surprise for whoever came next! I hope it inspired them to do something kind for someone else!

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
