What the heck are Transformer Shorts anyway?  Well, we’re back with another review and this time around we’re going to tell you what these things are and what they can do for you.

Each day this week we’re posting a video review highlighting the products that have been recently sent over.  110% Compression is one of the companies who wanted us to try out what they have to offer.

As I mention in the video, I’ve never owned any compression products before and always wanted to know what they were like.  I was going to have them send me a pair of compression socks, but they wanted me to try out something different.  When I read about their Transformer Shorts, they sounded too interesting to pass up.

Transformer compression shorts combine the benefits of compression and the power of an ice bath in a single piece of gear.

Sound interesting to you as well?  Have a watch for more on what I think about this product.

I use compression socks but never heard of shorts like this. The icepack idea is interesting.

Interesting idea. I use compression socks all the time and they really help. The ice packs and pockets are a good idea with the insulated bag. The biggie for me is that they took care of the duty. That’s a sign of great service and wanting to make sure their product hits the audience they’re looking for.
You need to do a follow-up review after you used them with ice and everything after a tough ride.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
