Bicycle Couriering with Aftershokz Headphones

As you already know, I’m a huge lover of Aftershokz headphones and the amazing technology that they have created.  Yes, I love cycling with music and in my opinion using Aftershokz is the best way to go.  I totally feel that Aftershokz takes away all of the debate against the safety of riding with headphones because of the way you can clearly hear everything around you while still getting ultimate sound.

Anyway, my friend Salinas is a bike courier here in the Comox Valley and she also enjoys listening to music while riding.  She has always taken out the left ear bud of her headphones so that she can hear traffic and things around her.  When I found out she was doing this, I told her about Aftershokz and how much I felt she would love them.

She gave my Aftershokz a try and was instantly impressed….and is now on her way to purchasing a set for herself.  Oh, and for any of our other friends and followers….you can save big on purchasing a pair if you buy them with the Aftershokz discount through Cycling360.

Here is what Salinas has to say about the Aftershokz bone conduction technology:

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
