I think you hit the nail on the head Darryl. America has a love affair with their cars and ALL the engineering is centered around the car. I’m all for a community built completely around the bike or walking as the main mode of transportation.

I love Placencia… as much as I love my home town Ambergris Caye! Belize is the most wonderful place in the world – so my answer is yes, lets set up more places like this!

Yeah, that would be something. Where we live in Austin, it’s definitely not set up as an 8-80 friendly location. There is no way anyone in my Family other than me can ride too far. I wish it were set up like Placencia.
