I arrived in Belize on Friday with the first experience in the country being a quick spin around Belize City. I had heard that this area isn’t a very nice place compared to the rest of the country, so I left the airport expecting the worst….and was pleasantly surprised. I recorded this video about 30 minutes after stepping foot in Belize City.

As I mentioned in the video above, there was people biking everywhere in Belize City. It is definitely a common mode of transportation. The clip below shows some of the biking action in town, but believe me…there was a whole lot more bikes than shown here.

Below is a short clip of the Belize cycling team passing us on the Western Highway. They had a follow car and everything. You can also see my buddy in the clip making plans for us to check out more properties as well…..I didn’t have time to jump out and get a better shot of them cycling by. I must have saw at least 30 riders out on the weekend and it was great to see. Everyone is getting in their last minute training for the Holy Saturday race that is coming up.
