Coming from you Darryl, frankly one of the best dads I have ever met. This is pretty cool.
For me I had to watch my little girl walk down the high school graduation isle this month and know that I never truly would have here live with me again was harder than I ever imagined. As much as I can be selfish like anyone else I am grateful for all the hours I had with her. And I can promise you , I have many wonderful memories of her childhood, but I really don't remember any of those extra hours I spent making the ride a little longer.
Now, DONT get me wrong, there has to be balance in life, and you cannot truly deliver love and warmth and happiness to your children unless you feel good about yourself and are fulfilled and happy internally. You HAVE to devote time to your self to be able to devote GOOD time to anyone else. Finding that balance is the magic.
Just don't blink.
