Bravo Aaron. Nothing wrong with the length of this piece. After all, it is about a century ride and not a team sprint around a velodrome. Well written. It was like I could feel every agonising mile with you. The solo battle against the wind, the adrenaline rush of the peloton and the thrill of leading a group. You captured it all. Well done mate.

I really need to do a century of my own. I’ve got a 70 and 85 but not a 100.

I’m sorry but I didn’t read this whole story as it was long, but I did get some useful information out of this article. I have done one century and am doing another in September. I’ll use some of the things you mention.
