Grenada by Bike: Mocha Spoke

I remembered to grab my video camera before taking off for a ride, and this time I stop in at Mocha Spoke for another segment in our “Grenada by Bike” feature.

Please excuse the fact that I cut off the top of my head once again in the video.  I either need to practice centering my face I the shot, or hire a camera person.  Anyone wish to apply?

I was out repping #bikeschool in this video and stopped in to show you the beginning stages of Mocha Spoke.

Enjoy Your Ride

Video not working for me. Safari 5.1.7 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. I’m in Grenada: is there an actual “cafe”? I don’t cycle, but love to eat!

We look forward to meeting you when you come back to Grenada again. I’m from Canada originally…what part of Canada are you in?

Can I apply for the cameraman job? Are airfares to Grenada included? You already know I am willing to ride a bike anywhere.

I haven’t commented before but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your grenada by bike videos. I am a cyclist and its difficult to see what riding a bike in a foreign location is like without going there. So these videos are very helpful. I just wish there were more videos like this for other countries.

Thanks for submitting your first comment. I’m glad you like the videos and that they’re helpful for you. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like me to shoot in an upcoming video.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
