Loving the Bike TV: Love Where You Live

Do you love where you live?  If not, I’m here to tell you to change it.  Yes, loving where you live is a huge part of Loving Life on and off the Bike.

If you don’t love where you live, there are two option.  1.  Suck it up and make yourself appreciate where you live.  2.  Move.

For me, sucking it up was not an option so I’ve moved myself around to get to where I am totally loving where I live.  Please excuse the shaking video for this week’s Loving the Bike TV….I had just got back from a ride and my hands were shaking.  I’ll explain more about why I have shaky hands in Friday’s post.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
