Nick Frey: Pro Rider to Boo Bicycles Owner

Personally, one of the best things that came out of last week’s Handmade Bicycle Show was meeting and getting to know Nick Frey.  Prior to the show, I had been looking through the list of exhibitors and something about Boo Bicycles caught my eye.  That led to the Pre-NAHBS post I did on the company, which included a written interview with owner Nick Frey.

Not only is Nick a Team Jamis pro cyclist, Princeton grad, bike company owner, and mechanical engineer…he’s also one super fantastic guy.  My family and I really enjoyed our time with Nick and look forward to seeing him again soon.  Anyway, I wanted to ask Nick what it was like transitioning from pro cyclist to businessman….and this time around we talked in person and on video.

Good luck in the MERCO Cycling Classic this weekend, Nick.

Nick is awesome. It was great to meet him at #NAHBS and find out the passion behind Boo. He is a great cyclist and person. The bikes are incredibly light and well built. I’m impressed with the bikes in person. Great interview Darryl on an amazing company.
