Do Good Challenge Loving the Bike

Oh man, this one is going to be a challenge for me…how about you?  Before letting you know what the Do Good task is for day 23, take a second to think about how you are changing.  If you’ve been taking part in each of the challenges Rob has given you this month, I’m sure you can feel something going on inside of you.  Be sure to let us know how you’re feeling.

If you haven’t been following along each day, it’s not too late to start.  Many of us started this challenge on January 1, but it’s never too late to begin.  Go back to Day 1 now and get started.

Day 23: Dance in Public.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
