I’m new here…enjoying all the posts. I don’t want to sound negative, but I hope everyone picks up a bit of trash everyday…or at least every ride, walk and or run. Its just what we need to do as stewards of our environment.

Glad you found us. The more people we can get to take this 31 Day Do Good Challenge, the more people who’ll be out there picking up trash on a daily basis. Thanks for joining us.

I picked up trash today on Grand Anse beach and it felt great. I’m happy to report that the beach is actually very clean, but I was able to find a few things as I walked along and put them in the trash.

I started with some trash that had gotten into my yard over the holidays, but I branched out into the field across the street! It was fun!

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
