#bikeschool

It’s not bragging if it’s true….right?  Well if you know me, you’ll know that I don’t generally talk all big and mighty about myself and the things I’m involved in.  But saying that #bikeschool is the coolest and greatest Twitter chat is just the dang truth.

Each week I love reading the tweets about how excited people are to take part, and all the praises they say about our amazing bicycle chat.  Yes, it’s true….#bikeschool totally rocks twitter.

In 2014 you’re going to see some big players in the cycling world taking part as participants and hosts.  I know for a fact that some names that would make your jaw drop have already been there in the background creeping in on what’s going on.

No name dropping just yet.  You’ll just have to keep tuning in each Thursday at 9PM EST to find out more.  In the meantime, enjoy the best hour that can be found on Twitter.

Enjoy Your Ride

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
