#bikeschool: Rockschool
If you were at last week’s #bikeschool Live you will have seen that I asked a question about music to ride and train to and asked for your favourite choices. Some people were rightfully skeptical about listening to music on the bike which I would dissuade you from. But that’s OK because LovingTheBike.com is proud to be sponsored by One Good Earbud – the perfect way to listen to music whilst cycling or running but still stay safe by being able to hear traffic around you. Check out the link above for some very reasonably priced products which will let you pump out the tunes and stay safe on the bike.
The Hit Parade
So without further ado, let’s get down and cut some rug. Strap on those ear-goggles and sample some of the suggestions for songs that classmates love to ride to. Some are awesome and some are… well… let’s just say art is subjective! Please please please let us know your favourite songs to ride to in the comments section at the bottom as it might make it on to our #bikeschool Album!

Now that’s certainly an eclectic mix put together by the #bikeschool classmates! If you haven’t had your say yet then let us know what other tracks should be on the list in the comments below.
Stevie
I’d always have Heroes by Blondie, it’s a live version of David Bowie’s classic. And marginally better IMHO. I have it as a B side (remember them) on my 12″ Atomic single from 1979. The track is now residing happily on my iPod! I believe it’s on the CD Album Eat to the Beat.
A 12″ vinyl single, how old do I sound!
Great idea by the way and Heroes is very apt for all cyclists I feel!
You need The Bike Song. (Mark Ronson) http://youtu.be/rVELTxKRoHA
I hadn’t heard of that song. Thanks for suggesting it, Katie.
Wait a minute, Stevie…..I just realized that there’s no Bob Marley in here. I think some Three Little Birds will put everyone in a good mood.
I gotta say, I wouldn’t have a single one of these songs on my iPod LOL! I find that funny. To each his own I suppose!
I would have thought you’d like that old school metal, Heather. Maybe you’re too young to appreciate that music….hahahaha. This list is definitely a mixture of a lot of types of music.
you forgot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhQshBCn2-4 Fifteen – Helter Smelter!!!
This is a really good list. What a nice idea for everyone at #bikeschool to enjoy. The two songs I was going to suggest are already on there, but I’m interested to see what else gets added. Thank You.
Thanks for the suggestions guys… I’ll add them in later
“First Breath After Coma” – Explosions in the Sky
How about that new song by Gym Class Heros?
I love that song….yes, it has to be on the list. Stevie, the name of the song is Stereo Hearts.
I am also a person who likes some of that heavy metal from years ago. How about adding Ride the Wind by Poison?
You are always full of such great ideas, Stevie. Putting together a #bikeschool CD is an awesome idea and I’m looking forward to listening to the completed project. I was the one who suggested “Kickstart My Heart” so I’ll leave it to the other students to add in more songs.
