Deux North
There are countless bicycle inspired videos out there, but when Dylan Nord asked for my opinion on what he put together…I told him it was worthy of being shared. So here it is….Deux North. Below the video is Dylan’s words on what inspired him to put it together.

Deux North
by Dylan Nord
Even though, my brother, James Nord and I, have gone from training wheels and driveways, to mountain bikes and dirt paths, to road bikes and racing, the best things about riding have remained constant. We started Deux North last year as our best attempt to capture and inspire the things we all love about riding our bikes–the freedom felt while riding and the things we discover about ourselves and others in the saddle. We want to inspire others to ride in a way that creates unforgettable experiences, and we’re out to capture (or in our words, “hunt”) the elements that make those experiences unforgettable.
Deux North’s story is told primarily through a series of ten trips, or hunts, around the world. Each hunt in the series involves different riders, environments, and encounters and is recounted through a short documentary video. This is the trailer for our third video, Hunt 3.
It takes place in and around the small town of Boonville, NY where 5 riders spent a few days exploring the foothills of the Adirondacks. Sleeping out of a primitive campsite, taking showers in an icy cold river, and hanging day old kit above the fire to dry was a stark contrast to our lives in New York City.
Hunt 3 follows the riders around hundreds of miles of beautiful country and dirt roads while rediscovering a love of cycling all over again. And when we weren’t riding, we were covering the area’s largest event of the year, the Woodsmen Field Days. In this portion of Hunt 3 lies the most surprising part of the video, when the Deux North riders see our own passions reflected in the much different sport of lumberjacking.
