This is easily the biggest news of the 2016 road cycling season…..and it’s been in the works for pretty much the past two years.

As you know, I’m the cohost of the uber-successful Cycling 360 Podcast.  [insert humble brag here] Yes, last month we had over 167,000 downloads….are you kidding me?  Well, we’ve decided to take things up a notch and launch the first ever road cycling summit.

From April 6 through 10, this worldwide virtual online summit will include a panel of presenters that totally blows my mind.  I’m not sure how we were able to swing this, but during those four days we are offering up all the wisdom and knowledge to help make every one of you a better cyclist.

Best of all, it is completely free if you attend the live presentations.  Register Now.

Oh, and this isn’t just a bunch of podcasts to listen to.  These are video presentations with live Q and A opportunities and attendee interaction.  This is big time.

I’ll let you get all the juicy details at the road cycling summit website, but let me drop some of the incredible presenter names here for you.   Ryan Van Duzer, Selene Yeager, Matt Fitzgerald, Paul Swift, Jennifer Sage, and so many more. This is a world class list of speakers, my friends.

Yeah, I’m just a little bit excited about this one.  With good reason.  Get your 2016 cycling season started in style.  Attend this event….Register for the 2016 Road Cycling Summit.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
