Just Remember These 5 Words
With the risk of sounding like a beauty pageant contestant, I just wanted to say that world peace is a very cool concept. There are many reasons I don’t watch or follow the news, but the glorification of war and violence is high on the list.
Maybe they should change the name of that daily news program you’re watching to something like “War, Violence, or Bombing Update”. It’s hard to escape a news program, but the odd time I happen to come across one, that is all that seems to be on the menu. Do you remember the last time you watched the news without seeing a headline story on this subject? Makes you wonder what the heck kind of world we are living in doesn’t it?
Let’s all just get along. Yeah, we can’t stop what is happening around us and around the world. But we can continue on with our happy and peaceful lives. We can make sure we treat those around us as much good as we possibly can. We can be a positive influence. We can be human. It should be natural to be this way. Should.
Remaining positive, happy, and kind in a world that shows examples of being the opposite….just makes you feel that much better when you’re there. When we are in this state, it is human nature to create peace and infect people with a better way. Remember, World Peace starts within your own circle of influence. Kill them with Kindness.
Make things easier for someone else. Pay compliments. Create safety, calmness, relaxation. Revel in the happy moments. Do Good.
Let’s all just get along. Remember these Five words.

One of the upsides of my job is that I travel to a lot of interesting places. In the last 3 years I have been to Siberia, Libya, India and places even as remote as Canada (sorry Darryl). What I consistently come away with from this trips is; People are awesome governments suck. It is only a matter of degrees as to how bad they suck.
Our governments and media, AND THEIRS, do NOT paint a truthful picture of what is on the other side of the fence. They have a vested interest in showing us the other guys in a way that makes them appear to be a threat. Otherwise why would we allow our governments to do the things that they do?
Its is lofty talk but I think they only way to break down the walls is through direct communication citizen to citizen, NOT through the filter of the media or the government.
OK I am of my soapbox now.
Great comment and very accurate….”People are awesome, Governments suck”. Be sure to jump on my soapboxes from now on.
