I was recently contacted by Superberries and I was asked to review the Aroniaberry+ product.  Superberries sent me the product free of charge and here’s what I have to say about it.

None of us want to get sick and miss time on the bike, right? With all the germs floating around, how do we make sure we stay healthy and avoid getting bogged down?

One option for you is the Superberries daily wellness shot (www.superberries.com). I recently found out about this product and how it delivers important antioxidants to boost your body. Aroniaberry+ is made up of:

  • Aroniaberry (Polyphenols and Anthocyanins)
  • Acerola Berry (Vitamin C)
  • Green Tea

We all know that diets rich in antioxidants help us maintain good health, so by juicing up your body with this sort of wellness shot you stay healthy and also enhance your energy.

For me, staying healthy keeps me Loving Life on and off the Bike….so I’m always looking for any healthy solution I can to help make that happen.

I’m more of a smoothie kind of guy so that’s my choice for blending, but the daily shot can also be taken in a milkshake, with juice or simply with water.

The company says that “the shot delivers 100% of your daily recommended Vitamin C and antioxidants. The ingredients are clean and pronounceable. It is certified USDA Organic. It is gluten, dairy and fat free with only 60 calories”.

Oh, and if you’d like to try out Superberries for yourself, they are offering a $5 discount on a 12-pack of Aroniaberry+ Daily Wellness Shot through March 15. Just go to Superberrries and use discount code : AroniaPlus5.

Just another way to keep yourself pedaling, and Loving the Bike.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Superberries. The opinions and text are all mine.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
