For this week’s episode of Loving the Bike TV, my good friends from Goats on the Road are going to tell you about their Loving Life wisdom.  I’ve really enjoyed meeting and getting to know Nick and Dariece who live their life traveling around the world and creating their own culture along the way.  At least I get to keep a piece of them on the site before they leave Grenada and continue their adventure next month.

Great words, fantastic people, amazing view, and one incredible sunset to finish off the video.

If you look as good as Darryl does in bike shorts… you can do anything.

    Nice,
I think the question that most people ask when the see this though is. HOW. How do you do that? How do you stop your conventional job and still have the resources to live travel eat and enjoy wine and sunsets. It sounds wonderful but I think people struggle trying to understand how to make that happen.

I think it’s just one of those things. In order to do this you have to make the decision, believe in what you’re doing, Go Pro, and let the magic happen.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
