Not Just Another Sunglasses Post: Ryders Eyewear
Surprise, surprise….I’m doing another post on sunglasses. This has got to be at least the seventh time I’ve dedicated a post to this topic, but for me they really are the closest thing to being part of my body. There isn’t any other one accessory that I wear as often as my sunglasses, and they are part of me each and every day.
I’ve been friends with the guys over at Ryders Eyewear for a few years now. I even had the opportunity to sit down for a coffee at Juan Pelota with the owner and one of the employees while I was living in Austin. Plus, they are Canadian boys so it’s nice to promote a company from my birthplace.
Yeah, so I wear a lot of different sunglasses….but I have my personal favorites. I have a day-to-day pair, road cycling pair, mountain bike pair, and several others that I swap around. I’m always interested in trying out new shapes and styles to see how they fit and perform. So when they wanted to send me a couple of pairs to try out, I went for something a little different.
I went for the Hijack glasses as they were different, but similar enough to some other styles that I figured I would like them. Then I gave them the LovingtheBike test.
When it comes to sunglasses, it’s all about fit, feel, quality, and performance. Oh, and most definitely “the look”. The quality is there and the feel was pretty good, but the fit, feel, and look were not there for me. All of us have different shapes, so I’m sure they are the perfect fit for someone.
My Wife had better results with her sunglasses. She tried out the Ryders Coco for women. They look incredible on her and are great for day-to-day or for being active. She is more of a one pair kind of person, so the Coco’s provide her with fit, feel, quality, and the look. The diversity gives her the performance for whatever she wants to take on. I wouldn’t say the Coco glasses are intended for hardcore sports, because they don’t have that streamlined sporty look to them.
If you’re looking for new sunglasses, I recommend Ryders for quality glasses at a decent price. They’re a pretty cool company as you can see in the advertisement at the top of this post. Check them out.
