The Most Important Cycling Accessory
I wrote a while back about the importance of having ID with you on and of the bike on the road….now it’s time to drill that point home with another post on it.
My boys and I each wear our MyID bands all the time. We like the style, we like the security, and we like having matching bracelets. Now that we’re set for a summer full of riding, I am so thankful that we wear them.
Why do I call ID bands the most important cycling accessory? Well, it is pretty obvious….but there’s another reason. Even the best and most expensive cycling accessory can have it faults, and should that ever lead to a crash the band is there as your last line of security. Yep, as simple as that. This is why ID bands are the most important cycling accessory.
The one’s we have sell for $19.95. They have so many options and styles available, so find the band that fits your personality and keep it on you all the time. On and off the bike.

I’m spreading the word, and also put up a short quicktip podcast about ID bands on Cycling360. Have a listen to that one as well. I’d also like to hear your comments and stories about ID bands as well.
Wear one yourself. Get them for your kids. Look good. Bike safe. Enjoy Your Ride.
Amen Brother,
After being hit by a car twice, both times knocked unconscious on the side of the road, I completely understand the importance!
You know it, Eric…..you more than most people. I’m just happy you were able to come away from those.
I agree. I wear mine all the time, too, because you just never know.
Thanks Paul. As long as you’re wearing something.
