Today’s stage of the Tour de France has been the talk of the cycling crowd since they first announced the route. For the first time ever, the riders are going to be climbing the brutal L’Alpe d’Huez twice.
What do the riders have to look forward to today? Just 13.8km of climbing at an average gradient of 8.1 per cent, and, of course, the legendary 21 hairpin bends.
