What Gets Your Butt Out of Bed?
I’ve interacted with a lot of our Loving the Bike readers and have a good idea of what motivates people to get on a bike….but what about motivation for life?
What inspires you? What motivates you? Where do you get your passion? All these things are related and it is small and large doses of these things that piece your day together. It is exactly these things that create the life that you live. We all find inspiration and, in turn, are motivated to act from a variety of different things. Each one of us finds it in different places, but the key is that we find it. Once you’ve found it, it is the passion that keeps you going.
Every day starts off with these key ingredients. You wake up, and from there, what is it that gets you out of bed and on your way? Think about it. Well, the duties and responsibilities that lie ahead of you are probably what does it, right? We are all like that, and without being faithful to our duties, nothing in this world would get done.
But what if your inspiration to get your day going was the beauty of the environment that lies outside your bedroom walls? What if you motivation was the thought of knowing you are going to make someone’s day better today? What if the passion that drives you out of bed is your total zest for live? I think we all search for the superficial things to get us through our day, and we somehow miss all the natural beauty and wonderment that surrounds us in our world.
Getting to Know…..people, places, the environment, yourself. That is the inspiration, motivation, and passion that drives us, or at least it should. Today I challenge each of you to go deeper. I challenge you to get to know someone today on a more personal level. I challenge you to investigate and learn more about something in our world. I somehow have a feeling that if you accept this challenge, what you will find is inspiration.
“Positive education, acts of kindness, and gratitude are something that feel so great when it is shared with others…..What’s even better, is witnessing this in the world around us.” – Darryl
What gets mine out of my bed is that every minute is precious and I am grateful for it. I want to to spend time with my wife, I want to do the things necessary to stay healthy and give us security to have a long adventure filled life together. I am well aware of just how good my circumstances are and I never want to take that for granted.
