Who Loves Wearing Cycling T-Shirts?

Each of us owns a personal marketing company, and we have the ability to promote anything we want….every day of the year.  What are you marketing to the world?

Our crew at Loving the Bike believe in a life of t-shirts and shorts…..when we’re off the bike.  We use that space to promote our love of cycling and to increase the brand awareness of the bike.

Luckily there are a bunch of companies creating cool shirts for people like us to wear and share.  Oh, but did I mention we’re a little bit t-shirt snobby and only put the good quality nice ones on our bodies?

Enter, Thread + Spoke.  These guys are based in Salt Lake City and have the mission of bringing unique shirts to people who share a passion for bicycles and the cycling community.  Yep, that instantly caught our attention.  When the shirts arrived and we were able to live a few days in them…..we were even more impressed.

Here’s what we like most about Thread + Spoke.

First off….the clothing itself is soft, comfortable, and good quality.  No matter how cool the message is on a t-shirt, it just has to be a superb fit.

Sometimes the designs among cycling clothing companies blur a little bit and messages become sort of similar.  Not with these guys.  Thread + Spoke have the most original t-shirt designs I’ve ever seen.  I like being an original.

The ease of ordering and quality customer service is another plus.  When ordering clothing online, I want it to be easy.  With their sizing chart, clear shipping information, and easy check out….buying is slick and quick.  Oh, and of course they ship anywhere.

Another thing that sets these guys apart is that the designs come from independent artists from around the world.  Anyone can submit their artwork to be considered for a feature on Thread + Spoke.  Visit their Creators page for submissions.

Who doesn’t need a few more cycling t-shirts to add to their personal marketing portfolio?

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
