Top 5 Cycling Tips

We’ve come to the end of our week of cycling tips here at Loving the Bike.  I hope you’ve enjoyed what our crew has had to say, and be sure to have a look at all our other cycling tip posts as well.

It’s kind of tough to single out a Number 1 Tip for cyclists, so I’m cheating a little and combining a few tips into one.  There are so many important things to consider and ways to improve your cycling, but above it all is just getting out there to ride.

Please have a watch as I go over our final Cycling Tip for the week which talks about enjoying your ride and some tips on how to make sure you keep it that way.

I like what you said about owning your own space and deserving to be out there. I’ll be keeping this attitude on my rides from now on.

Glad it helped, Jackie. You deserve to be out there.

I thank you for that, I could place my video. And I hope that you will like it here. Sorry for my English. I had from the Czech Republic and we know how little English

It’s not the most technical tip I’d expect as a number 1 tip, but I’ll take it. Enjoying what we do out there is a big part of the overall deal.

Thanks RJ….I’m more into the non-technical side of cycling and you can see it in the tips I provided this week. Keep on Enjoying Your Ride.

I always enjoy the ride. It looks like a pretty beautiful location you were filiming from for this video. Is that where you live?

Being confident on the road and knowing you have a place there is something all cyclists should remember.

Hi Danny. Yeah, there’s no shortage of great backdrops for videos here in Grenada. We live here, but that video was from North Grenada….we living the South.

      Yes, you are absolutely right.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
