Some Serfas Face Time

When we moved to Grenada, I really thought the product reviews done by myself would stop.  It’s quite difficult and expensive to bring things in to the Caribbean so I moved here realizing that receiving fantastic products from great companies had come to an end.

But there’s been a few products I’ve reviewed and promoted since arriving here almost 9 months ago and more continue to come in.  I’ve made exceptions and jumped through the hoops for certain companies and products.

One such company is Serfas.  They’ve worked with us for about a year now, and I’ve  appreciated the follow up done by Jason from the company.

So they recently sent me a bunch of sunglasses to try out as well as a FMP-969 floor pump.  Have a look at what they sent and what I have to say about these item from Serfas.

I went to their website and the glasses and prices look good. You mentioned you liked two of the models but you didn’t mention which ones they were. I have a smaller face so I’m looking for a good fit. I see they have an RX insert on two different models, which would be great. Love the show!

I actually like quite a few of their sunglass line up. I also have a small face so I think you’d like the Force 5. They fit nice and look great. They are a good all around sunglass that you’d like for riding or just day to day. Plus they have interchangeable lenses. Let me know what you decide to go with.

Serfas makes some great, and I seriously mean GREAT sunglasses. I have a pair of their Hydra’s and another one that I can’t name. Both sets are amazing, my oakleys sit in the car untouched and I couldn’t be happier to ditch them.

Looks like we’re Serfas brothers, my brother. Now we just need to plan a ride so that we can go cruising in our Serfas shades and look good together.

I have that exact pump. Ha. The screw on is fine by me and I like the look. I always buy serfas pumps.

I just happen to be in the market for a new pair of sunglasses and a floor pump. How would you rate the sunglasses to something like Oakley? I agree with you on the type of end that your pump has. I prefer one with the lever.

Hmmm, compare them to Oakleys huh? Well, it’s hard to mess with a huge brand like them, but it all comes down to whether you want something that works for you or something that is name brand and recognized.

Nothing against Oakley or the other big boys, but I feel the Serfas are a great choice and will provide as much as the others at a better price.

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
