Happy to be Here For the Ride

A thought crossed my mind today.  A thought that has somehow never consciously crossed it before. “What would have happened if my Parents had decided to only have one kid?”  Well, the simple answer was that I wouldn’t be here to worry about those consequences. However, upon more thought….I took it further.  What if...

Differences Between Cycling Austin and Cycling the Caribbean

I kept my recent trip to Austin pretty quiet while I was there, but seeing as that was almost two months ago….I’m ready to post about the differences I found between what it’s like cycling there as opposed to the Caribbean. I’ve been riding here in Grenada for three years now and although I...

One Tiny Change, Great Big Results

I’ve always said that the reason I write so much about personal development and creating a better self, is because I’m the one who needs the constant reminder. Yeah, I find it easy to forget about many of the things I want to incorporate into my daily life…..but by writing and posting about it...

Sugar Alternatives for Energy and Hydration

Question: I am using the homebrew sugar formulations (sometimes added to green tea).  I am also trying to wean myself off 1/2 dose adrenalean “lip tonic delivery system” (biorhythm brand- caffeine, hoodia g, synephrine, yohimbe) capsule for energy.

My question is other than juice, can you suggest modifications in lieu of table sugar for energy and hydration.

Answer:

Both raw/organic honey or agave can work great in the homebrew (substitute in the same quantities for the sugar, or to taste), but you do have to shake well in order to make sure they don’t settle out.  Have you tried either of these?  Also, make sure to use at least the minimum amount of salt recommended in the homebrew as the temps rise, you need the sodium replacement if you’re sweating.
